What’s a “Parting Ceremony?

With divorces as common as weddings, Parting Ceremonies are Wiccan Handfasting rituals in reverse. When marriages or partnerships end, finding closure can be difficult for everyone, including their family and friends. Parting ceremionies can bring closure, tenderness, and peace to everyone involved.   

 

The ceremony begins with the Priestess binding the couple. While holding hands, each person thanks the other person, acknowledges what they have learned, and what they appreciate about the other. Then the Priestess or Priest undoes the cord and declares them free and the partnership nullified.

 

This ritual allows the community to be updated as to each person's status and "availability," should someone else be interested in pursuing them. These kinds of "civilized divorces," allow the community to support the individuals without feeling caught in the middle.

Standard Parting Ceremony: $400 with a $300 deposit and the remaining $100 is due the day of the ceremony. This package includes the following services:

I offer spiritual counseling and Reiki sessions to clear "energy enmeshments." No one can run on someone else's energy, and often, energetic "enmeshments" can raise the tension between partners.

 

Spiritual counseling and Reiki can return the rightful energy to the rightful owner. Such work can be done to restore balance to a relationship or bring peace to those ending a relationship.  $175 per 2 hr session, payable at the time of service.
